8A – Solving The Problem

1. My opportunity is that phones break easily and for how much we spend on them, we should get a product that is built to last and waterproof. Consumers need a way to either keep their phones from breaking and keep them from ever needing to be fixed or replaces. Or, an alternative method is that consumers need a way to fix their phones easily and not at a high cost.
2. My service to help with this opportunity is for phone companies to allow free phone insurance. So if something happens to a phone and it stops working, they must replace the user's phone at no cost. This would motivate phone companies to actually build phone's that couldn't break, so they would not lose money on replacing people's phones.
2A. A product I could also come up with is using better materials to build phones. For example, using sapphire glass on the screens so they don't scratch/break easily and using water resistant casing to make phones waterproof. Small changes in the structures of phones could help them be built to last.

  1. I really believe in the existence of the opportunity you identified. I really like your solution. I think it is reasonable and feasible. Companies should provide free phone insurance, especially considering the price people pay for them. I found really interesting the idea of using sapphire glass as a way to avoid the easy breaking of screens. It is true that small changes could help to solve the issue.

  2. My phone company replacing my broken phone would be a DREAM!!! Currently, my phone is on the fritz, most likely because the materials used to built it were not the quality they should be. If my glass was sapphire, I'm sure I wouldn't be dealing with not being able to click open my apps as the cracks on the screen mess with how sensitive it is to touch. I would 100% invest in a phone that was built to last.

  3. I really like that you pointed out this opportunity because almost everyone in our present day uses phones and accidents are bound to happen. I like that idea of companies offering the insurance because phones these days are super expensive and the companies should replace phones or fix them when they go faulty. For now I have an otter box on my phone, it's an amazing case, but if a company offered such an insurance service or a phone built to last I would definitely buy it.
