19A – Idea Napkin No. 2

1) You. I am Tanya. I am talented at photography, writing, and multi-tasking. I have traveled a lot and love trying new foods. I scuba dive and sky dive and consider myself adventurous. I aspire to have a job that I love and uses my creativity but also allows me to still travel and I want to live in a city environment but also near the beach. This business could help e achieve this because I would set up locations everywhere, so location would not be a problem and I would like my job.

2) What are you offering to customers? I am offering a way for consumers to fix their broken phones in a much more cost-effective way than what is offered now. I will work with and not against phone companies, to provide a cheap cost while also still helping phone companies so my company does not fail.

3) Who are you offering it to? I am offering this to anyone who owns a phone, which is pretty much everyone. My main demographic will likely be young people in their teens and 20s, because these people tend to be more careless and end up damaging their phones more than adults do.

4) Why do they care? They care because they wont have to spend hundreds of dollars on a new phone or repairs when their phone breaks. They will save a lot of money and have better access to get this done faster.

5) What are your core competencies? I am different from any other repair shop or warranty because my way is much cheaper and my locations will be more known and closer to people, so people won't have to travel far. Also the wait time will be very low because people can expect to get a replacement phone almost immediately.

I feel that all these elements fit and work well with one another. I am offering something that nobody else can offer, so consumers will come to me. Also, I am offering this at a cheap cost, so consumers will want to save money. Additionally, I am going to give people a new phone almost immediately, so they will want fast service. Lastly, I will be able to offer such low prices since I will work with phone companies so they will give me phones at a discounted rate if we have an agreement and I give them money for buying them in bulk.

  1. I always love commenting on your posts because there is often so much I can relate too! I know I've mentioned it before but we both scuba dive and sky dive and consider ourselves adventurous. As far as your product, I also relate heavily to who you are trying to cater too. I break my phone all the time and even though there are already businesses that fix phones - it's too expensive.

  2. Hmm a city environment near the beach.. i think i know just the place :) (Miami). Anyway, i'm very envious of your thrilling adventures as I've always wanted to both sky-dive and scuba-dive, though i hope i'm not scared in the moment. I too hope to have a job that utilizes my creativeness! Also i believe that you may have better luck going to manufactures and setting up a deal with them (as cell phone providers would) rather then the cell phone providers. Cut out the middle man!

  3. I love the service you are offering, although i say that in most of my comments to you i mean it. The service you are offering is great for those slip ups we make in our lives. Not everyone can afford one of those phone cases that protects your phone no matter what and need something like this for when they damage or break their phone.
