1) This person is an Apple technician. He's worked at Apple for 2 years and has answered questions and sold apple products and dealt with fixing apple products.
2) I would say this man is a domain expert in that he knows a lot of information about Apple's policies and making appointments and phones but not too much about the technology itself. He is an expert in providing customer service.
3) I recently had to get my apple watch replaced because it had a cracked screen. So when I did this and took it to the store, I was able to talk to an Apple worker.
4) The person took my watch and packed it in a box to be sent to an Apple factory for them to replace it with a new one.
5) If I included him in my network, I would be able to find out more about the current problems a lot of consumers deal with when they go to Apple and he could tell me how I could provide a better service than what already exists.
1) This person works at an phone repair shop in Gainesville.
2) This person is a market expert because they actually fix phones for work and have done repairs and know how long they take and pricing.
3) I looked up phone repair places in Gainesville and spoke to them on the phone.
4) They talked to me about fixing my current phone because it has issues as all phones do and I asked him about pricing. He gave me two options and both were more than I would want to pay.
5) This person can help me set my prices and could work for my company in fixing phones.
1) This person works for an At&t store and sells various phones and At&t service to people who come into the store.
2) This person is a supplier because they are supplying the public with phone service and cell phones
3) I found this person by calling my local at&t store and asking them about buying phone plans with a phone.
4) This person answered my questions and told me about various phone plans I could get. He also told me about current deals with phone plans with certain phones and discounts with some phones.
5) This person could help me work with any phones that are kept locked by certain phone companies. For example, some like T-Mobile may lock people's phones to only their cellular service. If I wanted to use a used phone to fix and resell at an even lower price than my usual services, I could work with people like this guy to make it available to more than one cellular service.
I learned from this assignment that networking is literally everywhere in our lives. From all the daily tasks we do and small conversations we have with people, even the ones we take for granted, these are all opportunities for networking. Anyone you meet and talk to, if you can learn from them or befriend them, could probably help you in some way with your work at some point.
I can see here that you put effort into this assignment as you made contact with three solid people in your industry. You're so right that by including the Apple worker in your network, you're going to be able to better your service. Every time someone complains to the apple guy about the problems they are experiencing, he could rely them to you and then you could provide the better service than already exists.
ReplyDeleteYou found three solid people pertaining to your product. The feedback and contribution of these people in your company would improve your professionalism and consumers trust. If an AT&T worker or Apple worker tell me something about my phone or convince me *blank* is the best option, i naturally trust them based on their experience and expertise. I too said that friendship can help you later because you never know what knowledge someone can provide you with.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that you got an apple technician is a really smart idea because many people, at least who I know, have IPhone's and since many people using your service will also have them that is a really good pick up. I also like your other pick ups, the people you have chosen seem to be very knowledge in the field and they work in it so they can provide you with some really valuable information.
