30A – Final Reflection

1) It's interesting to see how my posts have evolved as my business plan has evolved. I totally forgot about my first idea to make a fix for scooter drivers. In my 4th post in this class, I discussed the ongoing problem of driving scooters when it is cold out or when it is raining, both of which are unbearable and sometimes impossible! Seeing how my ideas have evolved and how I have changed ideas in my phone insurance plan are very interesting.

2) My best experience in this class was probably the summary of my main entrepreneurial pursuit. I will always remember my idea for a no questions asked, "free" phone repair for people who pay for the ongoing service. This is because this is something I wish really did exist and I know so many people who wish this was a real thing. I am most proud of myself for coming up with this idea, as if I or anyone ever tried to replicate it and it works, I would be so thankful that this could actually exist.

3) I definitely could see myself starting my own business. When you are your own boss, you can be as creative as you want and nothing and nobody can hold you back. Every idea is your own and you can go about things how you want to do them. I myself enjoy thinking of all the little ideas and implementing a plan, so this is something I could see myself doing in the future.

4) To do this course well and get a good grade, I would tell them that spreading out the assignments as you have assigned them is the best way to get every assignment done. At first, I wanted to do almost all the assignments in the beginning and just get them over with. But that does not really work because you cannot get the blog comment posts over with until the end of each week. So, I recommend that people do the 2 assignments each week, but early on in the week. Then onSundays, devote 30 minutes to commenting on posts and taking the quiz. If you do this, you will get points for all assignments and do well in this course.

    I remember your scooter idea! I actually forgot about it too until reading your post which reminded me i forgot about my original idea too. Strangely enough my original idea is similar to the one you ended with. On the "Forming An Opportunity Belief" post, i discussed the unmet need of iPhones and other Apple products failing and Gainesville not having a proper solution. My idea was to implement a genius bar without all the merchandise that comes with an apple store.

    I loved seeing your idea progress. Just like Arielle I had forgotten that you began with your scooter idea, but I remember reading it and thinking how relatable it was. However, the venture concept that you finalized in your last post is one to be proud of and it was great getting to watch your entrepreneurial mindset grow this semester.

    I agree in that I would tell people to focus their assignments and get them done early. For this class it can be really easy to procrastinate with assignments and get flustered trying to get them done last minute. I loved seeing your idea progress too.

20A – Growing Your Social Capital

1) This person is an Apple technician. He's worked at Apple for 2 years and has answered questions and sold apple products and dealt with fixing apple products. 2) I would say this man is a domain expert in that he knows a lot of information about Apple's policies and making appointments and phones but not too much about the technology itself. He is an expert in providing customer service. 3) I recently had to get my apple watch replaced because it had a cracked screen. So when I did this and took it to the store, I was able to talk to an Apple worker. 4) The person took my watch and packed it in a box to be sent to an Apple factory for them to replace it with a new one.  5) If I included him in my network, I would be able to find out more about the current problems a lot of consumers deal with when they go to Apple and he could tell me how I could provide a better service than what already exists. 1) This person works at an phone repair shop in Gainesville.  2) ...

12A – Figuring Out Buyer Behavior No. 1

Choose a Segment: My segment is college students. I am choosing this population because I have easy access to college students being on a large college campus in a college-town. Additionally, this segment is a group of people who deal with the problem I am offering to fix and are very prone to damaging their phones or needing a repair. This population would definitely make use of my service. My interviewees are a male sophomore business major from  South Florida, a female freshman engineer major from Tampa, and a male junior business student from South Florida.
